Mansfield Veterinary Hospital, located in rural Columbus New Jersey, has been a fixture of the community since 1975. It was a new concept created by Dr. Howard Redlus and 4 other well-known veterinarians to offer a central location for surrounding veterinarians to provide overnight and surgical care for the community. Dr. Redlus has since retired to the sunny beaches of South Carolina, but has passed on his wisdom, knowledge and expertise to dozens of veterinarians over the years. When the corporate owned hospital decided to leave the location, Dr. Redlus worked to ensure that the location would continue as a veterinary hospital to serve the community. He was successful in finding a new team to take over the property and continue as a well-known fixture in the community, and provide an important service, and continue to practice and offer the same quality service in the community that they have come to know and love.

Our veterinary hospital is a proud, privately owned practice, and as so, not beholden to corporate interests. We are committed to your pet’s well-being and dedicated to flexible, compassionate care. While we don’t operate 24/7, we are here to provide overall general veterinary services and urgent care during our hours, and are open on weekends, Saturday AND Sunday, for your convenience.
